My dumb brain...

Hi WHORS. Please say a little prayer for us next week. Monday, the 4th, Drew and I are going to Minneapolis for my 3 year post-surgery, check-up (WOW! It's been 3 years!!). It's just an overnight trip. Obviously, we assume everything is fine(especially after running 3 marathons since surgery!), but it seems it's still necessary for me to get a cerebral angio-gram every couple of years, indefinitely. Other than finding a few screws loose, we expect the aneurysm to be stable...unless I knocked something out of place when Kim & Diane tripped me at mile one (tee hee)!!

Anyway, as much as I joke, it is still sobering to think of what could have been. Clearly, I have a guardian angel (my brother, Danny!!), and feel blessed, beyond anything I could describe.

The angios are never fun, and require a few days of recovery (both emotionally and physically), but I plan to be at the Red River Runners picnic with the kids in tow (Drew will be in D.C.) on Thursday.

Your prayers are welcome, comforting and very much appreciated!

Thank you, Friends!
Kathleen

Your testing WILL go well...you're going to feel the support of all of us as you undergo the angiogram (and I know they're not fun). I'll even light a candle for you at church!!! peace my friend!

Dear Special K -
It is time you let everyone know truthfully that your race day strategy was run a mile, lay down a minute, run a mile, repeat. We will work on the transition from running to laying down over the summer! (tee hee!)
Of course you are in my prayers this week. I feel confident that your screw will remain loose(bad joke but said with good humor) and our dear Kathleen will be just fine!
Love ya!

We'll be prayin in West Fargo that all goes well. And if they find the screw loose, I want them to leave it that way!!! Can't wait to have you back on the road--just not horizontally again!!!

Take care, Kathleen---every good vibe I have will go out to you!!

Dear Special K/Speedbump:
Thoughts and prayers with you girl! Make sure they don't tighten that loose screw--we love you just the way you are :-). Tom and I will be praying. I'll share our theme verse, Romans 5:1-5, "Joy in our sufferings".
Love ya, Tracy/Pinky

Thanks for your nice notes. You're beautiful friends. All will be well. the next thing you know, PW & I will be doing blow job shots at the BBQ!! In the meantime, I'll worry and think about it constantly, because that's the way I'm made. I'll tell them to leave the screws alone.

Thanks & love to all,

I can relate to thinking and worrying about it (I'm the same way), but know that all of us are praying for you and keeping you in our thoughts. We'll see you at the picnic!
