Thanks to everyone who helped with the planning, decorating, games and souvenirs last night. Your time invested in the party showed and is appreciated more than you know. The two truths and a lie game was a super idea. Who knew Jill was a medic in the National Guard. Krista was Miss Pre-Teen North Dakota (or even that there was such a thing). Or, how 'bout Kim teaching disco. Yeah Baby...Who would have EVER thought Ann lost her virginity?? Or, was it Ann who was humping the mannequin in Leah's classroom??? And, Donna. Donna. Donna. We're sorry Micheal cheated on you. Luckily, "David" was there to see you through. Thank God. YOU ROCK, SUPERSTAR.

You're an amazing group of women. Every step in a marathon is a blessing. Every friend made through the process is a treasure. Thanks for letting me in your lives.

Darn right WHORs ROCK! Thanks for the little pink panties! Tom was asleep when I got to his house last night, but I showed them to him as we left for work. He's been texting me all morning about wearing them tonite, etc. HOLLA! He's got Pink Miles on the brain!

It was such a fun time- and way maore than I ever expected. LOVED the decorations and how everyone pitched in.

Thanks to a tip from Barb, I found a way to share the slide show online. I am still figuring out how the program works, but look for something SOON- I wrote it im my planner to get it done by Monday :)

Thank you so much for including all of us 'newbies' for dinner last night. You have all been a great inspiration and motivation, not only in preparation for this race, but for all the other things you do in life and for everyone in your lives. The ability for a group of women to come together and recognize and support each other as we do is amazing, and I'm so excited to be a part of it!

I have a whole new respect for many of you, notably:

- Madame B and everyone who contributed to the evening - you are amazingly talented on a creative scale I can't EVEN touch!
- Donna for being able to keep that honey of a story under wraps from everyone, even during our long runs
- Dr J for not even flinching every time you hit the button on your little remote
- Kim and Dr J, for qualifying...what an awesome feat - you should be super proud and excited!

I want to thank everyone for their hard work and creativeness last night. I had so much fun....and to add to my sore leg muscles, my stomach hurts from laughing (which it always does after our get togethers). Kathleen's last paragraph says it all. I am so fortunate to be part of this wonderful group of women. I treasure you all and consider you family.

ps. The perfect man is with me at work today. I had to show him off to all my co-workers. Everyone thought it was a great idea and think he is adorable. :)

Lady G (Grandma),

Ditto everyone; but like Kim, I still want to hear everyone's stories of SAturday. Since I didn't get to run I really need to hear your stories; especially the first timers; there is nothing like it. I remember Splash telling me once, "It's more memorable than your wedding day, child birth;" and, I thought, wow, but I know what she meant, it is the one thing we do alone; we cross that finish line and it is all yours, and nobody elses, for just that moment.

So, Karen, thanks so much to you and Benita for getting us that great spot; and whors, lets get together again soon, maybe coffee one SAturday morning, and tell me your stories; I'd love it.

Thanks again for last night,

Lady G

Wow!!! you girls were busy today! We had a great night and i love my "Bosston" shirt. I can't wait until the next Birthday run. It's my official birthday wear shirt :) I think coffee some saturday morning sounds great! We should try get that on our calendars soon, before the summer gets too busy. Or we could do an early weekday before work. I would like to hear the first timer stories as well everyone else experiences. Each race is so different and unique!

Ladies,
I have been off the blog for a couple of days and just was catching up on the girls. Dang it if you all didn't make me shed a few tears with all of these wonderful words!!!
You all are truly a blessing in my life. I am sure that I have shared with many of you that one of my life sayings is "all things happen for a reason." I can't thank all of you enough for the gifts that you have given me over the last 3 years of running. I am a different person today because of each and everyone of you. Thanks for being there, thanks for listening, thanks for talking back and thanks for what is yet to come. I cannot wait to see all of you again!!!
