Off to Church but wanted to let everyone know, the girls are off.....probably waiting to cross the start line. The weather looks WHORrendous. It is already in the 70's...and high humidity. Lets all pray for our WHORS...

I have my computer open and tracking their progress. It is fun to see how they are doing. Not getting much else done today.

You can go to chicagomarathon.com and go into runner tracking..
At the half way point they are:
Diane - 2:28 (2:08)
Benita and Sheri - 2:39 (2:19)
Kim - 2:50 (2:30)
That is clock time, so subtract 20:18 as that is how long it took them to get to the start!

These were the WORST conditions for our WHORS; the course was diverted so more medical attention could be delivered if necessary.
We will have to wait and hear from the girls, but it looks like the weather was evil; I looks like they were smart and walked< too hot< too humid< the heat index was off the charts>

thanks for the update. nothing worse than high heat and running if you are asking me! looking forward to an update from the chicago whor's.
Scary Day in Chicago,
Maybe you have heard, but they actually cancelled Chicago at mile 20 and diverted people back to the starting line. Runners were "told" to walk that were on the course. One man died. Hottest Chicago marathon ever.
Google "chicago marathon" and read a few articles.

I had been following all day too. The the computer wouldn't let me on because of the number of users.
It does sound brutal. It will be interesting to hear their stories when they come home.
