Garmin??

For those of you gadget people I want some advice. For Mother's Day and our Anniversary I told my husband I want a Garmin. DO they have them at DBRC or where would you suggest I get them? I am assuming they are all around the same price at each place? Any suggestions on the newer or older one? Tracy-are they on sale at the Scheel's in the mall?

Candace - no Garmins at the West Acres Scheels. I'm looking for a 201 if anyone upgrades. I did ask at the 45th Scheels if they'd honor the Garmin website price, and I think they will if you provide a printed copy from the site. Other than that, there are a ton on Ebay, but keep in mind that Garmin won't honor the warranty if you buy them on an online auction.

I don't think they even sell the 101's anywhere in stores anymore. You would have to buy that online. Heidi did...I think she's pretty happy with it ;) DBRC only has the upgrades 301, 305, etc. When Rollie bought mine, Scheels did honor the Website Price. However!!!!! the Walmart price is actaully CHEAPER than garmin...so find it on Walmart and print it off..and Scheels will honor that.

Terry just bought me a 205 for $150 (after $50 rebate) from BUY.COM The rebate offer expires May 15, so you'd have to hustle! I didn't shop brick and mortar stores. The 305 is $200 (after rebate) if you want the heart rate monitor.

My 201 is totally dead after last Saturday's rainy run. It should be water resistant, but it's over 2 years old, so I don't think the warranty is any good.

Hey Candace, In case you haven't gotten a garmin yet....the DBRC has a $50 rebate on the 205 and 305 now through may 15th. let your hubby know ;)
